New York Governor Reveals New Gun Control Plan for State-of-State Address
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is revealing one component of his upcoming State-of-the-State message next year which adds on to past gun regulations.
The Democrat says he will propose a law preventing anyone who commits a serious crime in another state from buying or possessing a gun in New York. No other parts of the January 8th speech have been revealed.
Meanwhile, a limited number of tickets for the Governor’s speech at 1:30 p.m. January 8 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany will be available for New Yorkers.
Tickets will be awarded by lottery.
Registration is being taken online at the Governor’s homepage: governor.ny.gov between December 20 at noon and December 30 at 5 p-m.
Photography and videography devices will not be allowed. No weapons, bags, backpacks, briefcases or controlled substances will be and there will be no check-in for prohibited items.
