National Pipe and Plastics has finally broken ground on the project to locate its headquarters at the site of a former Endicott Johnson factory on North Page Avenue.

The company that has manufactured PVC pipes for five decades has operated on Old Vestal Road until the move of manufacturing operations across the river to Endicott in 2014.

Since that shift, the company has been looking to also locate its offices nearby just west of the site of the former Endicott Johnson Fair Play factory and warehouse.

The development consists of a 23,000 squar- foot facility while a portion of the land is being donated to the neighboring West Endicott Park.

The new headquarters for National Pipe and Plastics is to be home to about three dozen employees to start with more possibly added in the future.
