N.Y. Attorney General’s Office Offers Advice for Taylor and Adams Customers
Officials in the New York State Attorney General’s Office say any Taylor Garbage or Bert Adams Disposal customers who think they were overcharged as a result of the price-fixing case need to contact the company they have their refuse collection contract with.
Fines and penalties in the case are going to the state General Fund but residents may be able to renegotiate a contract or file civil action.
Bert Adams Disposal and Taylor Garbage Services and their employees have been issued fines and penalties totaling over $1.5 million in the investigation in which Attorney General Eric Schneiderman concluded the companies colluded to rig bids and fix prices in deals dating back several years ago.
