The Binghamton Bearcats dropped a 74-68 decision to Morgan State University on Wednesday night in Baltimore, MD.  The loss puts Binghamton's record at 3-6 while the Bears move to 3-5.

The game was a tale of two halves.  The first half belonged to Binghamton as the Bearcats outscored the Bears 44-28 to take a 16 point lead into halftime.  But it was a completely different second half as Morgan State took over with a scoring margin of 46-24 to not only erase Binghamton's lead but earn the win.

Morgan State's tenacious pressing and trapping defense did not cause Binghamton many problems in the first half but certainly did in the second half.  The Bearcats turned the ball over just 6 times in the first half but 12 times  in the second half for 18 overall.

After going 9-17 from three-point range in the first half the Bearcats went just 2-11 in the second half.  A pair of Binghamton forwards fouled out in the second half. Chancellor Barnard and Calistus Anyiche both fouled out enabling Morgan State to get numerous second - chance points.

Binghamton's leading scorer was freshman Sam Sessoms with 22 points and 19 more from J.C.Show.  BU returns home to host Loyola, Md on Saturday afternoon  at 2:30 at the Events Center.
