Missing Rapist Sought in Tioga County

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials are looking for a man wanted in a rape case.

Authorities say 46 year old Brian Smith of the Town of Tioga was arrested last December 21^st following a rape investigation and charged with three felony counts of rape and one charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Smith was found guilty on all charges in an absentia jury trial Wednesday but now his whereabouts are unknown.

He was living on Halsey Valley Road.
