Police Seize Firearm and Narcotics During Binghamton Traffic Stop
A traffic stop conducted by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force on Monday, April 1st, 2024, led to the seizure of a firearm and narcotics in Binghamton. During the stop in the area of Route 363 Northbound and Old State Road, investigators made the discovery.
The items seized during the operation include a loaded 9mm Taurus brand handgun, a high capacity 9mm handgun magazine, approximately 71 grams (2.5 ounces) of fentanyl/heroin, and $1,175.00 in suspected drug proceeds.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Mehki J. Littles, who was taken into custody and transported to the Binghamton Police Department to face charges. Littles has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (1 count), criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree (1 count), criminal possession of a firearm (1 count), and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (4 counts).
