This weekend Connor McGregor will make yet another comeback with a rematch of the 2014 MMA fight against Dustin Poirier, Saturday night at Fight Island, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirate.

I have to tell you I was not a fan of MMA at first, I have always been a traditional boxing fan growing up with Mohammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Larry Holmes, and Mike Tyson.

When I saw the Notorious in the octagon, I was hooked, and have not missed a McGregor fight since.

This rematch will have a totally different feel and maybe a different outcome, which is to say it could last longer than the first fight, which saw McGregor punch and knock down Poirier, finishing him off in one minute forty-six seconds. (check out the first fight on video below)

Becoming a MMA star, gaining world recognition, and going on to win the feather weight title against Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds, worth the money I paid to see it.

One of McGregor’s appeals is his unpredictability, he is a bit of a loose cannon, but we have seen this type of behavior from many a prominent figure

This fight should be a bit more strategic in nature, as both fighters have age and experience, almost seven years later, most likely less trash talking, and more getting down to the actual bout.

Connor McGregor is tough toe to toe, and Dustin Poirier knows all too well what a McGregor punch can do, so getting him to the ground will be his best chance for victory.

The Notorious is favored and many feel he will once again end the fight in round number one.
