Authorities say 49-year-old Bruce Biggs of Brooklyn had been wanted by the New York Police Department in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred two weeks ago.

Binghamton police detectives executed a search warrant at 105 Rogers Avenue on Endicott's North Side around 3 p.m. Monday.

Detective Captain Cory Minor said Biggs was taken into custody without incident. He was turned over to NYPD investigators.

54-year-old Daniel Biggs was shot several times at a Brooklyn intersection on May 2. He died of injuries sustained in the shooting.

Shortly after the attack, New York City authorities had advised police in the Binghamton area to be on the lookout for Bruce Biggs because they believed he might try to hide in Broome County.
