A Binghamton man is accused of breaking into a home on or about April 4 in the Town of Fenton and stealing copper piping, wiring and aluminum.

21 year old Travis Vanvalkenburg is charged with felony counts of burglary, criminal mischief and possession of stolen property.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say, in addition to the materials taken from in the house, Vanvalkenburg is accused of breaking a window of a vehicle parked on the property in order to steal four aluminum wheels locked inside.

Authorities say they found him in possession of the stolen property when he sold it to a local business.

Vanvalkenburg was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
