Broome County Sheriff's officials say a Town of Maine man is facing felony and other counts following a struggle with a Deputy.

Authorities responded to Shadowbrook Drive in the Town of Maine June 21 for a report of a physical dispute.

According to the Sheriff's Office, during the investigation, Tyler Vymislicky attempted to flee, refusing to comply with law enforcement officers' commands.

When Deputies attempted to restrain him, Vymsilicky reportedly became violent and hit a Deputy in the face.

Officers deployed a taser and Vymslicky was taken into custody.

The Deputy suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Vymslicky is charged with felony assaulting a police officer and misdemeanor counts of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
