Residents of the Maine-Endwell school district will vote next week on a $16.8 million capital project proposal.

The district is planning to make renovations to the Homer Brink and Maine Memorial elementary schools.

Significant work would be done at those schools and some improvements also would be made at other Maine-Endwell facilities.

The school district will offer a building tour at the Homer Brink School 6 p.m. today. A similar tour outlining planned work was held earlier this week at the Maine Memorial School.

District officials say most of the money for the projects will come from state aid.

The vote on the spending plan will take place next Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m. Voting sites will be at the school district offices and at the Maine Memorial School.
