In honor of Black History Month, Lourdes hospital has partnered with the Broome County Urban League and the Southern Tier Cancer Services Program for a cancer screening event this Monday February 22nd

According to a news release from Ascension Lourdes the screenings will be open to the public for those insured or uninsured Monday February 22nd from 2pm to 6pm at Visions Federal Credit Union, 100 Pavilion Road, Johnson City, next to the JC Walmart.

To make a screening appointment, call 607 321 0015   CLICK HERE this is the preferred choice, however they will accept walk-ins.

If you need help, are uninsured, or have no healthcare provider, the Southern Tier Cancer Services Program can help New York State residents see if you’re eligible and qualify for free cervical, breast and colon cancer screenings, call 607 778 3900.

Don’t neglect your health, keep up to date on proper screenings, remember early detection is the key to fighting cancer.

Women between the ages of 24 and 40 should have an annual breast examination, and women over should also have an annual mammogram along with a breast examination.
