The play of Julius Randle, who is a Bonafide all-star, has been contagious and inspirational to the team and the fans.

Randle had 25 points last night, after a slow start offensively, his 17 points in the second half of the game helped seal the victory, the Knicks seventh win in the past nine games.

RJ Barrett had 12 points, followed by Alec Burks who contributed 16 points, and rookie Immanuel Quickley had 12.

The big surprise has been the improvement behind the three point arc, the Knicks shot 50% or better  over the last three games.

The addition on former rookie of the year Derek Rose (14 points)  has helped this team and putting him in the starting lineup over the past three games has helped the Knicks get off to good starts.

The bench play from rookie Obi Toppin and Frank Ntilikina has helped slow down teams especially in the second half.

The Knicks defense is the most potent weapon, and they have kept the hammer down throughout the season.

I am still watching and waiting for the bottom to fall out, as it has so many times over the past 20 years, but this team is building something special, and the first goal is to make the post season, and be consistent over a period of seasons to follow.

The Knicks will head to San Antonio to play the Spurs tomorrow night, and then back home to play the Pistons at the Garden before the all-star break.

Go Knicks!
