Need a passport or maybe a renewal for that upcoming trip out of the country? Or maybe you just want to have a passport in case you find that trip of a lifetime and want to be ready to fly away.

Or did you plan on visiting the last couple of Broome County Passport Fairs, but missed them for whatever reason? Possibly you work during the hours that passport services are available, preventing you from getting the process taken care of. Well, no worries. Another one is on the horizon.

According to an announcement on Monday, July 13, 2026, Broome County Clerk Aaron Martin and Town of Kirkwood Clerk Kelley Diffendorf, the next Broome County Clerk’s Office Passport Fair is coming to the Town of Kirkwood Town Hall in the Board (use the main entrance to the building).

Located at 70 Crescent Drive in Kirkwood, this Passport Fair will be held on Monday, July 20th from 5 to 7 p.m., and yes, appointments are required to participate in the passport fair.

How To Sign Up For The Next Broome County Passport Fair & What To Bring

It's simple: Get signed up by visiting the Passport Fair signup page. After making your appointment, here's what you need to bring and do:

  • Bring an original or a certified copy of their birth certificate with both parents' names and a raised seal, and a photocopy (front and back), or a naturalization certificate.
  • Photo ID and a photocopy (front and back), or a current, non-expired government ID.
  • Two checks to cover the fees. Cash and credit cards are not accepted at passport fairs.
  • Applicants must also know the places and dates of birth of their parents to accurately complete the passport application.
  • Children under 18 will need to be accompanied by their parents for a passport application.
  • Wear dark-colored clothing for the passport photo.

Application forms will be available, and photos can be taken on site. A digital version of the application can be downloaded and printed in advance by visiting the NYS Travel website.

We’re pleased to partner with the Town of Kirkwood and Town Clerk Kelley Diffendorf to provide passport services to residents of Broome County. Some customers may not be able to travel to our downtown Binghamton office during normal business hours. What Are The Fees?

Passports
$130 for adult applications
$100 for children under the age of 16

Passport Cards (only for land and cruise ship travel)
$30 for adults
$15 for children under the age of 16.

Also, there is a $35 processing fee for each application and a $10 fee for each passport photo.
