Deliberations resume in the trial of a Binghamton man accused of shooting one man to death at his Mozart Street apartment in August and wounding his former roommate.

Closing arguments were given April 14 in the murder trial of 27 year old Nicholas Chappell.

Chappell is accused of killing 23 year old David Sanborn who accompanied 26 year old Jordan Doolittle to the apartment to collect some belongings.

Chappell’s lawyer argued the defendant thought he was being robbed and the shooting was justified.
