Governor Cuomo has announced a pilot program to administer the J&J single dose during overnight hours at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, Yankee Stadium and the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The vaccines at the fairgrounds will be given to eligible New Yorkers between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday, March 5 and appointments will be taken starting live at 8 a.m. March 4 at the ‘Am I Eligible’ website or at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX. (That’s 1-833-697-4829)

The downstate overnight clinic at Yankee Stadium is for Bronx residents only March 4 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The clinic for eligible New Yorkers at the Javits Center on 11th Avenue in New York City Friday, March 5 is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m..  The state will start taking appointments for that location starting live at 8 a.m. March 4 at the ‘Am I Eligible’ website at that NYS-4-VAX number.

New York expects to receive approximately 164,800 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week and says it is administering those separate from the Pfizer two-dose vaccines in order to “ensure an efficient and streamlined” program to maximize the number of residents that can be vaccinated.

New York expects its next allocation of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in about ten days according to a statement from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office.

The news release did not specify how many of the 164,800 doses this week are being directed to each of those overnight vaccination sites.
