The JCPA notes that people with autism may have challenges with communication and social interaction accompanied by sensory issues, and these stickers convey the following  messages:

  • I may not follow verbal directives
  • I may wander
  • I may resist help

These stickers are designed to be placed on homes, vehicles, and other visible locations. They help alert first responders and other community members about the presence of a person with autism to help guide their interactions appropriately.

The stickers are free and can be picked up at the Johnson City Police Department's front desk at 31 Avenue C in Johnson City. For more information, contact the Johnson City Police Department at 607-607-729-9322.
