Have you seen or know this person? The New York State Police are looking to identify her.

According to a news release dated August 27, 2027, from Troop C of the New York State Police Headquarters in Endwell, troopers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the subject pictured below.

The release notes that around 8:26 p.m. on July 18, 2025, the woman shown in the above photo was observed placing tools into a shopping cart at the Home Depot in the Westover area, near Johnson City in the Town of Union.

New York State Police reported that this person passed all points of sale without attempting to pay for the items.

As a Home Depot employee tried to stop the woman, she claimed that the items in the shopping cart had been paid for by a friend. It was later determined that the statement was false.

The report notes that the woman drove out of the Home Depot parking lot in a burgundy-colored SUV with an unknown license plate, heading east toward the Village of Johnson City.

After several attempts, Troop C New York State Troopers in Endwell have so far been unsuccessful in locating the woman.
