Broome County Sheriffs Investigate Larceny at Johnson City Home Depot
The Broome County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation into a larceny complaint reported from the local Home Depot store on December 19, 2023.
According to the report, the suspect walked out of the store with a .14 Cubic Foot Digital Scale, valued at $74.98, an Atomic 20V drill/driver kit worth $99.99, and a Milwaukee 15A Sawzall saw with a $199.99 price tag, without paying for any of them.
When confronted outside the store by the Loss Prevention team, the suspect claimed to have forgotten her wallet and promised to return promptly to pay for the items. However, she never returned, prompting the store to report the incident to the authorities.
Now, the Broome County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to identify the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the Sheriff's Office at 607-778-1911, referencing case number 23-28985. The Broome County Sheriff's Office assures that all tips will remain confidential.
