Johnson City and Binghamton Take Families on a Holiday Spin
A couple of Broome County’s famous historic carousels are all decked out for the holidays and taking riders on a cool spin.
Lights on the Carousel is happening at Johnson City’s CFJ Park. Rides and other events take place from 5-8 p.m. December 7, 8, 14 & 15.
Binghamton’s Recreation Park carousel will run from 5-8 p.m. December , the 15th and the 22nd.
There will be musical performances as well as carriage rides during the celebration.
Rick Pedro will perform at the piano from 5:30-6:30 and the All Saints School Chorus sings from 6:45-7:45 December 8. Binghamton City School District Elementary Choruses perform from 5:30-6:30 and Seton Catholic Central High School Chorus sings from 6:45-7:45 on the 15th while the Union Center United Methodist Church Live Nativity will also be from 6:45-7:45.
December 22, Binghamton Children’s Choir performs from 5:50-6:30 followed by St. Patrick’s Choir from 6:45-7:45.
Carriage rides from Brook Valley Farm will be 5:30-7:30 each night on a first come, first ride basis. The line will cut off prior to 7:30 to ensure the last ride is at the listed time.
Donations of toys for the needy will be accepted.
