JC Man Faces Felony Charges After Violent Fight
A 35-year-old man was sent to jail following a Johnson City dispute during which a woman reportedly was choked.
Authorities say Anthony Vanglahn of Johnson City was accused of punching a woman in the face and head several times.
The woman, who village police said was Vanglahn's girlfriend, allegedly was grabbed by the neck and choked, causing her to lose consciousness.
Investigators say Vanglahn was charged with felony counts of second-degree strangulation and aggravated family offense. He also was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Police say the physical domestic dispute at a Broad Street residence was reported around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday.
Vanglahn was arraigned and remanded to Broome County Jail.
