Freshman Jasmine Sina has won another America East Rookie of the Week Award.  Binghamton's standout guard has won the award for the second week in a row.  She now has won Rookie of the Week honors five times this season. Sina along with BU teammate Imani Watkins have combined to win conference honors eight times in 13 weeks.

Sina equals Binghamton's Jasbriell Swain as the only Binghamton players to win America East Rookie of the Week honors five times.  Swain achieved that milestone in the 2010-11 season when she earned America East Rookie of the Year honors.

In two games last week Sina averaged 18 points per game.  She scored 14 points against Hartford and 22 points at Vermont.  Heading into the February 11 game in Albany Sina is averaging 14.9 points per game ...fourth in America East.

Currently Sina is ranked third in program history in Division I competition.  Two BU Hall of Famers are ahead of her.  Sarah Cartmill with an average of 18.4 points per game and current Bearcat assistant coach Leah Truncale with a 15.3 points per game average are the only two players in school history to average more in a season.
