New York’s Naughty Travel Habits: Buckle Up for a Wild Ride!
It's that time of year when we think about getting away and taking to the high skies. I haven't run into this but apparently this is a growing problem especially for New Yorkers. Y’all need to stop fighting on the airplane.
Solitaire Bliss is here with the 2025 edition of America’s Naughtiest Travel Habits, and they have we got some jaw-dropping news for you!
Lowlights from New York
It seems like some of the Empire State residents have not been acting their best when it comes to airplane etiquette as New York ranks 4th in the U.S. for the naughtiest travel habits. From nail clipping to phone conversations that can be heard throughout the plane, New Yorkers seem to keep things interesting up in the air.
It appears that over 10% of us have taken the opportunity during their flying downtime to clip or file our nails, that gets us the 9th spot on the list of offenders. 14% of New Yorkers seem to have no volume control when it comes to phone calls on the plane, and that ranks us as the 5th loudest chatterboxes in the U.S.

But wait, there's more! 27% of New Yorkers have engaged in verbal altercations with other passengers, giving us the 3rd position in the nation for in-flight drama. As for fragrances, 45% of us like to keep things odoriferous (is that a word?) with strong cologne or perfume, landing us in the top 3 for scents that fly high.
Last but not least, 57% of New Yorkers have reclined their seats without even asking, making us the 3rd highest in the U.S. for asserting our comfort at the expense of others. I understand that it's not always easy keeping our cool with bad weather and flight delays, but New Yorkers, let's do what we can, while flying high in the sky to keep things civil.
