According to Stephen Donnelly, Town of Vestal Councilman, the town's commitment to pushing new businesses into the area has resulted in numerous developments over the years.

Recently, the town board made efforts to attract a new tenant for the vacant Friendly's location on the Vestal Parkway, and now the community anticipates the arrival of Dairy Queen in the near future, bringing its signature ice cream treats and food to Vestal.

When the iconic Friendly's location on Vestal's Parkway shut down there was endless speculation about what would take over its space and after much deliberation, according to Donnelly, the Vestal Town board was able to secure Dairy Queen.

Dairy Queen is a popular American chain of soft-serve ice cream and fast-food restaurants. While the exact opening date for the new location has not yet been established, the news of Dairy Queen's arrival has already generated a buzz of excitement among the Vestal community.

Dairy Queen's reputation for serving high-quality ice cream and fast food has made it the perfect addition to Vestal's commercial landscape. Vestal residents and visitors alike can look forward to indulging in Dairy Queen's tempting menu of ice creams, shakes, burgers, and fries.

The opening of a new Dairy Queen will also help to put money back into the local economy and money into the pockets of Broome County residents hired to work there.
