The excitement is roaring in Broome County as the Binghamton Black Bears are in their fourth year and are determined  to defend their Commissioner Cup title. No team has ever repeated as champion in the Federal Prospects Hockey League are determined to break that streak this year.

They are off to a fantastic 10-2 start and are first in the Empire Division. The team has a talented of seasoned veterans and young up-and-comers, so there is no reason to believe that they'll be slowing down anytime soon

Led by Head Coach, Brant Sherwood along with captain Tyson Kirkby and FPHL Defenseman of the Year, Dakota Bohn, the Black Bears are ready making a strong run at the Commissioner Cup once again.

There are many exciting events happening with the Binghamton Black Bears this season including the Teddy Bear Toss to also benefit the Crime Victims Assistance Center on Saturday, December 7th.

Don't be late because you will toss your stuffed animals or teddy bears when they score their first goal of the night. Two years ago, they scored in the first minute of play, so don't miss out and be there by the 7 p.m. faceoff.

It's these special touches that make the Black Bears games an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages.
