
Get Ready For A Season Of Spring Musicals In Our Schools
Are you a parent with school-aged children, or have you been? Well, I imagine many of you have attended a school play or concert over the years with one or more of your kids up on stage at one point, making you a proud parent.
Many local high schools will be presenting their spring musicals soon. I asked on social media what schools are putting on a musical this year. I thought it would be nice to let the community in on the many great musicals our local schools are putting on. An event that would be fun to attend, while supporting your local school and students.

Below, find what I've been told so far for spring 2026. While these are from social media responses, just check with your local school for confirmation of dates, times, and any other pertinent information you may need. If there are others not listed, let me know.
Who knows, you may be witnessing one or more rising stars who will someday be on the national stage!
- The Towanda, PA. Jr/Sr High School spring musical will be High School Musical on March 26th through the 29th.
- The Norwich City School District is putting on a production of Hadestown on Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, March 15th from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 pm. in the High school auditorium.
- Union-Endicott High School will present Hadestown Teen Edition, March 19th through the 23rd.
- Maine-Endwell is doing Mary Poppins on April 17th, 18th, and 19th.
- Chenango Valley High School is presenting Les Misérables on March 20th, 21st, and 22nd.
- Newark Valley High School is doing Shrek on March 20th and 21st.
- Johnson City High School is presenting Once On This Island from March 13th to the 15th, described as a Calypso-inspired, high-energy musical.
- Chenango Forks High School is doing The Wizard of Oz on March 13th, 14th, and 15th.
- Vestal High School presents 1776 The Musical on March 13th and 14th.
- Greene Central Schools presents The Music Man on March 27th, 28th, and 29th.
- Afton Middle & High Schools are doing Moana Jr. on March 27th at 6 p.m. and March 27th at 2 p.m.
- Susquehanna High School presents The SpongeBob Musical on February 20th & 21st.
- Athens Area High School is presenting Frozen on March 20th and 21st.
- At McGraw High School, the McGraw Drama Club will present All Shook Up on March 13th at 7 p.m., March 14th at 2 p.m., and again at 7 p.m.
- Whitney Point High School is presenting Bye Bye Birdie on February 20th & 21st.
