Meet Your New Best Friend At The Humane Society Adoption Event

We love our pets. They are an important part of the family, after all. If you have a dog or a cat, you know what I mean.

Many cats and dogs across the country are waiting in shelters for a forever home. If you are considering adopting a cat or dog in the near future, you might want to check out an upcoming local adoption event.

Saturday, December 20, 2025, the Broome County Humane Society, located at 167 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, is partnering with homePLUS and USA Mattress for a special adoption event.

This adoption event will be held at the USA Mattress location, 2508 Vestal Parkway, Vestal, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone who attends and signs in will be eligible to adopt a dog or cat for free at the Broome County Humane Society within two weeks following the event, pending approval.

According to the Broome County Humane Society, homePLUS will fully cover the first five approved adoptions, and after that, pets are still free to adopters, with homePLUS covering half of the adoption fee.
