Spring Brings Excitement With Binghamton’s Bridge Run
Spring is here, and it's time to get outdoors again. Many major events in the Binghamton area are being planned for 2026.
The Bridge Run Is Back!
The annual and very popular Binghamton Bridge Run is set again this year. This event will be Sunday, May 3, 2026. The Bridge Run features a half-marathon, where the mostly flat 13.1-mile course takes runners/joggers/walkers through downtown and the west side of Binghamton, including crossing 4 bridges.
The Binghamton Bridge Run features other events, including a relay, double start, kids' fun run, and the popular Victory Village.
TIME! When All The Fun Begins
The half-marathon, relay, and double-start will kick off at 7:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., the 5K begins, and at 10:45 a.m., the kids' fun run begins along with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Rowdy & Ruby. Also at 9:30 a.m., the Victory Village/Finish Line Party begins in the parking lot near Mirabito Stadium. The awards ceremony for Half, 5K, and Relay will be at 10:30 a.m. at Victory Village.
Are You Ready To Participate?
So, are you thinking about or ready to register to be a part of the 2026 Binghamton Bridge Run? According to Bridge Run officials, online registration is open now, but will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Officials also noted that registrations are pacing significantly higher than last year at this time, so it's better to get registered sooner rather than later, so you don't miss out on this popular event, especially for the half-marathon and double challenge.
Not Participating? Well, Become A Spectator!
It's a fun event to be a part of, and for those who don't take part in one of the events, you are encouraged to come out and cheer on the participants as they cross the finish line at the corner of Henry and Fayette Streets, right in front of the main gate of Mirabito Stadium. It's free to watch!
Become A Volunteer
The Binghamton Bridge Run couldn't, well, run without the help of dedicated volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering during race weekend, contact Sue Kuhn at skuhn@greaterbinghamtonchamber.com or call 607-296-2110.
