Here’s When The Buffalo Sabres Will Be Back At KeyBank Center

Good news came out today for Buffalo Sabres fans. We can now put their first preseason games on the calendar.

Buffalo Sabres Announce Preseason Schedule

On Wednesday, the Sabres unveiled the matchups they’ll be facing in late September and early October before the season starts.

Four of the seven games on the schedule will be on the road, but Sabres fans will have three chances in the preseason to see the team at home in Buffalo.

Sabres First 2023-2024 Home Game Is September 26th

After kicking things off in late September on the road against the Washington Capitals, the Sabres will make their return to KeyBank Center for a Tuesday night contest vs. the Boston Bruins on September 26th at 7 pm.

After that, they’ll venture over to Joe Thornton Community Centre in West Lorne, Ontario (about a three hour drive from Buffalo), this year’s winner of the Kraft Hockeyville competition, for an exhibition against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Sabres will be returning home again for a Saturday afternoon game on September 30th vs. the Columbus Blue Jackets, and they’ll also close out the preseason October 6th at KeyBank Center with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Info on when fans can buy tickets is still on the way, but we’ll keep our eyes open.

Sabres Hope To Maintain Preseason Record

The Sabres started off the 2022-2023 season strong, with a 4-2-0 record during the preseason - three of those wins at home. 

Sabres fans can only hope they start off 2023 with just as much momentum, and that they can maintain it throughout the full season.
