Ithaca College Student Dies Following Incident Off-Campus
A memorial vigil is being held at Ithaca College after a student died as a result of suffering serious injuries in an off-campus incident.
Details about the incident have not been released but College President Shirley Collado issues a statement to the college community sharing the news that the family of Jase Barrack had chosen to take him off life support.
Barrack, who was due to graduate in 2020 and was an athletic training major, suffered the fatal injuries last week away from the Ithaca campus.
The Allendale, New Jersey resident was on the Ithaca’s club soccer team and team manager for the women’s softball team.
A campus gathering was scheduled for 6 p.m. May 13 in Muller Chapel. Counseling and support services are also being made available.
