The Humane Society's 2019 Duck Derby is set for this Sunday (July 28) in downtown Binghamton.  The event raises money to help support the many aspects of the Broome County Humane Society.  The Humane Society is an independent, non-profit animal welfare organization. Duck Derby festivities begin Sunday at 10:00 AM.  It is being held on the Chenango River in the City of Binghamton behind the Holiday Inn Downtown.

Thousands of rubber ducks will be dumped into the river near the Court Street bridge and will float towards a predetermined finish line. Participants can enter the competition by adopting a duck.  Register online to: www.binghamtonduckrace.com or register the day of the event at the event site.  The first duck to the finish line wins $5,000.  The second-place finisher gets $1,300 and the third place finisher gets a $700 prize.
