Hot Enough to Hurt

Temperatures over the weekend and into the July 4th holiday are predicted to get into the upper 80's to 97 degree range.  Starting Saturday and stretching through July 4th the lowest predicted afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 80's to upper 90's according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton.

Along with high temperatures the humidity and dew point levels are expected to soar.  The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory continuing until at least 10 P.M. on Monday night.  According to information from the National Weather Service a Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.

The National Weather Service urges caution right on through the upcoming holiday as temperatures are expected to be oppressive with increasing humidity levels. Looking ahead to Wednesday and the July 4th holiday the National Weather Service predicts a high in the upper 80's with the chance of thunderstorms on Independence Day afternoon.
