The Broome County Department of Public Works has announced a temporary road closure for the replacement of the Hooper Road Bridge over Patterson Creek in the Town of Union, NY.

Hooper Road, a county-owned road, will be closed from July 15, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. to July 29, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.

The closure will specifically affect the intersection of Hooper Road to the intersection of Hooper Road and Pheasant Lane, with access provided for local traffic only. All through traffic will need to find alternate routes while the road is closed.

A detour utilizing local roads will be in place to guide drivers around the closure. The replacement project aims to enhance the safety and integrity of the roadway infrastructure and ensure the longevity of the Hooper Road Bridge.
