Homer Man Accused of Growing Pot in a Closet

A Homer man is accused of growing marijuana in a closet in his apartment.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they responded to the apartment on Route 11 May 25 to assist another agency and found the grow-op in a closet in an upstairs bedroom.

Authorities say 52 year old Jeffrey Scharf admitted growing the plants.

He is charged with growing cannabis and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Scharf was ordered to appear in Town of Homer Court at a later date.
