A Homer man is being charged with felony Attempted Burglary for allegedly stealing a camera from a camper.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested 21-year-old William Brame Thursday, March 10 after they responded to a report of someone at a campsite off Route 11 in Homer that wasn’t supposed to be there.

Authorities say they found Brame inside the camper and in possession of a controlled substance.

Brame is charged with felony Attempted Burglary and misdemeanor Attempted Petit Larceny and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Authorities say prior to his arrest last week, Brame previously had been arrested in January for three counts of Burglary.

Bail was recommended in the latest arrest but the Homer man was released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear in Town of Homer Court this week.
