Homecoming Weekend Draws Thousands Back to Campus

Homecoming Weekend at Binghamton University drew hundreds to the Vestal Campus October 17-19.  Despite some rainy conditions Saturday and blustery winds, many alumni attended cookouts, tail-gate parties and several sporting events that were held on campus.

The weelemd was busy with a cookout for alumni, a number of alumni parties and gatherings and a university athletic apparel sale in the Events Center.  Over 1,600 fans attended the Binghamton Bearcats versus Vermont men's soccer match that saw  the Catamounts post a 1-0 double overtime win.

Many alumni also attended the BU women's home soccer match against New Hampshire and the volleyball contest between the Bearcats and UMBC.  Many fraternities and sororities organized and held events throughout the weekend as well.

Restaurants, hotels and other businesses in Broome County benefitted from the influx of visitors to the region for the three day Homecoming Weekend.
