Holiday Traditions Helps CHOW Fight Hunger
The Holiday Traditions Arts and Crafts Show continues today (Saturday) at Binghamton University's West Gym. The 17th annual event began Friday night and continues from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday. Admission is $5.00 per person with children 12 and under admitted free. Shoppers are invited to bring non-perishable food items for CHOW to help feed needy people in our area. There are also a number of gift baskets donated by show participants that will be raffled off at the end of the day with proceeds going to CHOW as well.
G & H Promotions organizes and holds the event on Thanksgiving weekend each year. Organizer Amy Hastings, appearing on News Radio 1290 WNBF, says there are about 150 vendors participating again this year. Featured are all kinds of items for Christmas and holiday gifts. Decorations, clothing, photos and paintings are some of the the items available for purchase. Candy and baked goods are once again popular items for shoppers as well.
There is no charge for parking and with University students on holiday break there is plenty of parking available close to West Gym. Gift displays fill both the lobby and concourse areas as well as inside the actual gymnasium.
