High School Football Features Battle of the Unbeatens at Maine-Endwell

Section 4 High School Football is set for the third weekend of play.  One of the big showdowns to date will be at Spartan Stadium in Endwell when Maine-Endwell plays host to Chenango Valley at 7:00 P.M. (air at 6:55 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Both teams are 2-0.  The Warriors have wins over Johnson City (34-12) and Oneonta (34-21).

The Spartans are also 2-0 with convincing wins over Oneonta (68-21) and Johnson City (47-14).  M-E has exhibited plenty of speed with a dominating ground game.

In another battle of the unbeatens Chenango Forks travels to Owego.  Both have 2-0 records.  At Alumni Stadium the Binghamton Patriots look for their first win of the season.  They are 0-2 and are coming off a 49-7 loss to Rochester Aquinas last Saturday.  Horseheads is 1-1 with their win over Vestal on opening weekend.

In other Section 4 Friday night action Windsor travels to Wildcat Stadium to meet Johnson City.  East Syracuse-Minoa visits Dick Hoover Stadium to face the Vestal Golden Bears.  Oneonta plays at Norwich and the U-E Tigers travel to Auburn out of Section 3.
