A Binghamton man is accused of having dozens of glassine envelopes of heroin at an address in Johnson City.

Members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force searched the home on Saint Charles Street February 6 and arrested 30 year old Ricardo Ayala.  He is charged with four felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say they recovered three ounces of heroin, 67 envelopes of heroin, packaging material, a digital scale and $171.

Ayala was also wanted by Binghamton Police for unlawful possession of marijuana.
