Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a cache of stolen weapons and a suspect in connection with a break-in at a home in New Milford in late May.

Authorities say four guns, ammunition and other items were stolen between May 20 and the 22nd from a home on Cosmello Road in New Milford Township in Susquehanna County.

According to a news release from the Pennsylvania State Police at the Gibson barracks, the owner of the property returned to the residence at the end of May to discover multiple firearms missing.

According to the report, the incident happened sometime between midnight on May 20 and 10:30 in the morning on May 22nd.

Troopers say it’s not known how the burglar got into the home.  The report indicates there was no signs of force in getting into the house.

The victim reported a black High-point Mansfield, OH Hi-Point Carbine Rifle, SEE NCIC operating manual part 4 section 2 CJIS Law Enforcement 22 cailber rifle with an unknown serial number, a SEE NCIC operating manual part 4 section 2 CJIS Law Enforcement 20 gage shotgun with an unknown serial number, a Law Enforcement 16-gage shotgun pump with unknown make, model and serial number and 100 rounds of MagTEch 115 GR ammunition were stolen.

The value of the ammunition was put at $50 but no dollar-value amounts were provided for the stolen rifles and shotguns.

The investigation is continuing.

Anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the home between May 20 and the 22nd or anyone with information about someone possibly trying to sell weapons should contact local law enforcement or the Pennsylvania State Police.
