Group Seeks Volunteers in Broome and Tioga to Help Kids in Court
A group that helps steer children through the court system is looking for volunteers and is launching a new campaign to educate Broome and Tioga residents about the Court Appointed Special Advocate program.
Over 27 children in the two counties are currently being assisted by a CASA volunteer.
Voices for Children CASA has started an educational campaign called “Change a Child’s Story” to try to increase awareness in a presentation told from the point of view of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. The campaign shows the impact of having an advocate at the side of the victims as they go through the legal system.
