Binghamton Restaurant Week began September 15th and continues through September 24th.  During this time frame, lunch and dinner deals are offered at 31 locally owned Binghamton Restaurants.  Patrons at participating restaurants can purchase three-course meals for $12 or less for lunch and $25 or less for dinner.

Roger Neel visited The Colonial Binghamton at 56-58 Court Street for lunch September 16.  Our Digital Manager Ashley joined Roger to sample what The Colonial had to offer.  What we found was delicious dining, great service and a courteous staff.

For the first course, Ashley ordered their Caesar Salad and Roger had their Creamy Tomato Soup.  The soup was very tasty and an added treat was the grilled cheese strips that came with it.  It's just like having your own mini toasted cheese sandwich.  It was a nice touch along with the soup.

For the second course Ashley had the Falafal Lettuce Wraps. The wraps are made up of  falafal, tatziki, tomato, onions and are accompanied by a side order of fries. Roger's second course was the roasted turkey served on a big slice of toasted bread.  The bread was superb and proved to be an excellent choice.

And yes, there is a Course 3.  Ashley finished off her lunch with The Colonial's Deconstructed Apple Crisp.  A wonderful treat !  Roger chose to finish with their Root Beer Float...a sweet treat to put a cap on a delightful lunch.

We both enjoyed the food and as an extra plus the staff could not have been nicer.  You can see more of what The Colonial has to offer by visiting their website at: thecolonialbing.com.
