The Albany Great Danes' torrid  shooting carried them to an 84-65 victory over the Binghamton Bearcats in men's basketball on Thursday night at the SEFCU Arena.

Albany shot 72 percent from the field including 5-6 three-point baskets to lead 40-31 at the end of the first half.  The Bearcats went 12-23 from the field  for 52 percent but could not erase the the Albany lead.

The Great Danes withstood several Binghamton comeback attempts in the second half and outscored the Bearcats 44-34  to clinch their second straight decision.  Albany has now downed Binghamton 13 consecutive times.

David Nichols led all scorers with 25 points.  Joe Cremo followed with 22 points including four three-point makes.  Willie Rodriguez led the Bearcats with 21 points while Marlon Beck notched 11 points for BU.

Binghamton's next game is a home contest on Sunday versus Stony Brook.  Tipoff is 2 PM with air at 1:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
