Goydos and Langer Post Solid Finishes Among Returning Champions at Dick’s Open
Of all the past Dick's Sporting Goods Open champions who returned to compete this past weekend you can't do any better than Bart Bryant who captured the tournament title for a second time. But what about others who came back to look for the magic they worked when they won their championship at En Joie ?
Defending champion Scott McCarron finished at five-under par and ended tied for 31st place. Aside from Bryant's title repeat Paul Goydos finished the highest with a 12-under par and tied for 5th place just four strokes off the pacesetter.
2014 Champion Bernhard Langer ended at ten-under par and in a tie for tenth place. Willie Wood and Loren Roberts ended up tied for 44th place with totals at three-under.
Jeff Maggert and Willie Wood tied for 44th place and checked in with final totals at three-under par. R.W.Eaks ended up 11- over par and 73rd in the standings.
Local favorite and Horseheads native Joey Sindelar ended at three-under par and tied for 44th place and Rochester native Jeff Sluman finished in a tie for tenth place with a ten-under par total.
