Glen Aubrey Man Accused of Trying to Outrun Deputies

Tioga County Sheriff’s officials say a Glen Aubrey resident tried to outrun them during a traffic stop attempt at 2:55 a.m. February 26.

Deputies say they tried to pull 24 year old Presho Mott over but Mott failed to comply and continued to drive in what was described as a reckless manner before crashing on Newark Valley Maine Road.

Mott is charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, reckless driving, speeding, moving from a lane unsafely, speed not reasonable and prudent, consumption of alcohol in a vehicle and failure to keep right.

Mott’s been ordered to appear in Town of Newark Valley Court in March.
