Get Ready For The Annual St. Patrick’s Parade In Binghamton New York March 2nd

Yes, we are still in the depths of winter. But it sure has been a mild winter up to this point. Did I just jinx us? There is still plenty of time for snow events.

Aside from that spring predicting rodent in Pennsylvania, there is one sign that spring is almost here. And that event is one that we look forward to every year - the St. Patrick's Parade in Downtown Binghamton.

According to the Broome County Ancient Order of the Hibernian website, this year's (2024) parade will be on Saturday, March 2nd. Parade day will begin with mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church, 192-194 Court Street in Binghamton at 11:30 a.m.

The parade will kick off at 1:30 p.m. The theme this year is -“St. Patrick Let There Be Peace”. The route will remain the same, beginning from the Mirabito Stadium area of Henry Street, turning south on Fayette Street, and then west on Court and Main Streets, ending just past the American Legion.

Of course, our Townsquare personalities and vehicles will be a part of the largest, most fun parade in the Southern Tier.

Did you know that the fun doesn't end when the parade does? The annual St. Patrick's Day Post Parade Party kicks in again at Seton Catholic Central on parade day, Saturday, March 2nd from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The post-party will once again feature live music including the Old Friends Band, BC Celtic Pipe & Drums, Edward P. Maloney Pipe Band, face painting, photo booth, Seton Senior Class bake sale, food including those delicious Corn Beef Sandwiches, drinks, vendor sales, and more. According to a Catholic Schools of Broome County Facebook post, in 2022, over 1,200 people attended the post-parade party.

Over $80,000 for Broome County Catholic Schools. Catholic Schools of Broome County notes that these funds are instrumental in providing a quality, all-encompassing education for their students.
