The Nanticoke Valley Historical Society is featuring a virtual glimpse at the history and stories of the people and structures along an historic part of Broome County.

Tonight at 7pm you’re invited to take a virtual trip through a presentation called “A Trip Up NY Route 26-Part 1 from West Corners to the Hamlet of Maine”” given by Town of Maine resident Phil Childs.

Phil has dedicated many hours researching the rich history of the Nanticoke Valley and has given many presentations on its background, he is also an photographer and has taken many pictures of our environment and historical sights.

Together with the Nanticoke Valley Historical Society an organization that has actively supported this area for over 50 years preserving the history and the sights of the Nanticoke Valley and Town of Maine.

The society also creates many education programs for all ages and collects and preserves exhibits as well as assisting others in research.
