General Clinton Canoe Regatta This Weekend

The 56th Annual General Clinton Canoe Regatta is being held this weekend at General Clinton Park 2520 NYS Highway 7 in Bainbridge.  The festivities begin Friday evening and continue through Monday.

There will be activities for all ages including Kids Day on Saturday, the Dan Elwood Memorial 5K Run, the TRB One Mile Walk for Hospice, Youth Races and Fireworks to close the day on Saturday.  Also on Saturday Girl Scouts from the NYPENN Pathways Council will compete in various races.  A total of 140 Girl Scouts are expected to take part in the various races and events. Girl Scouts from around New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Connecticut are expected to compete.

On Sunday festivities begin at 9:00 AM with a 3 on 3 soccer tournament, 15 mile sprint races beginning at noon and The Regatta Music Festival beginning at 2:00 P.M.  The night will conclude with another fireworks show.

On Monday the 70-mile canoe race gets underway in Cooperstown at 6:00 A.M.  At 10:00 A.M. the Bainbridge Memorial Day Parade begins on Main Street.
