Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says the Keystone State is investing tens of thousands of dollars in rail freight projects state-wide, including in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says $3 million will go toward rehabilitating the Central New York Railroad Starrucca Viaduct and Bridge and for maintenance of railroad facilities in Bradford County.

The Governor’s office says keeping the freight system in good shape is just common sense and a way to support Pennsylvania’s economy.

A total of $40 million has been approved for funding 9 rail projects in the state.

Officials say that supports 375 jobs.
