Fulton Man Sentenced for Vestal Burglary
An Oswego County man with a criminal record that stretches across New York State is handed a seven-year prison sentence by a Broome County Jury.
The Broome District Attorney’s office says Andrew Stoughtenger of Fulton was sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty to Burglary for entering a Vestal home and stealing guns, jewelry and money in October of 2019.
An online search for Andrew J. Stoughtenger turns up reports on Staten Island Live in March of 2019 and July of 2018 indicating the Fulton man was found with three guns while stealing jewelry from a car.
The reports say the New York Police Department reported officers approached Stoughtenger when he was seen handling jewelry in the driver’s seat of a car and found a duffle bag in the back seat with a firearm in plain view. The police at that time confiscated a .38-caliber, a .44-magnum and .9mm handgun in the incident in Staten Island.
